Chase Mitchell’s artistic talents have been evident as far back as
grade school. Growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana her fourth grade
teacher recognized her talent and submitted her work to be chosen from
hundreds of students for summer camp at the Indiana University Herron
School of Art & Design. Chase followed her artistic voice through
high school. After marrying at 19, it would be years before she
returned to the Indiana University Herron School of Art & Design.
Throughout
her artistic hiatus, Chase approached her many career choices with the
creativity and openness of the artist she is now. After her husband of
28 years passed away from a long illness she returned to the University
to pursue the career she always wanted. Her award winning work was
juried into every competition she entered both locally and nationally
throughout her four years at the Indiana University Herron School of
Art & Design. Chase remained on the Dean’s List and was an Honor
Student every year receiving a number if prestigious awards and grants.
After
settling in Tustin, California Chase opened the Chase Mitchell Gallery
at the Artist’s Village in Santa Ana California where she was the
director of monthly exhibits featuring her art, as well as, local,
regional, national, and international artists. Today she is the owner
of the Chase Mitchell Gallery located in Tustin, California dedicated
to professional interior designers. Chase features her original art and
wall designs exclusively and is open by appointment. |
